UK lobbyists to be curbed?

Plans are afoot. In the UK, if you are a lobbyist, it's because you were probably once a bag-carrier. You know who to call and what to say.

In the US, the political system is a good deal more adversarial. If you are a lobbyist, you are less likely to have political connections, and more likely to have a legal background. I'm not certain on this, but I suspect most of us would prefer the UK model. This move may not really help matters.
